We install GAF shingle systems, and as a GAF Certified Contractor we are trained to install them to factory standards.

It means the full system goes on the way the manufacturer designed it: underlayment, starter strips, ridge cap, ventilation and flashing all matched to the shingle. The Right Shingle for Central Washington
Our summers cook a roof and our winters freeze it. We recommend architectural (dimensional) shingles with strong wind ratings and algae resistance, in colors that hold up to Yakima Valley sun. We also make sure attic ventilation is right, because a hot, unvented attic shortens the life of any shingle.

What does GAF Certified mean?
GAF certifies contractors who meet its requirements for licensing, insurance and installation training. A GAF Certified Contractor installs GAF systems to factory standards and can offer manufacturer-backed warranties that non-certified roofers cannot.
How long do asphalt shingles last in the Yakima Valley?
A properly installed architectural shingle roof with good ventilation typically lasts 25 to 30 years here. Poor ventilation and cheap 3-tab shingles can cut that in half.
