How much does a metal roof cost compared to shingles?
Metal typically costs more up front than asphalt shingles, but it lasts 40 to 60 years versus 25 to 30, and it lowers cooling costs in our hot summers. We give you a free written price for both so you can compare.
Is a metal roof loud in the rain?
Not when it is installed over a solid deck with underlayment, which is how we do it. It sounds about the same as any other roof from inside the house.
Can you put metal over my existing shingles?
Sometimes. If the deck is sound and there is only one layer of shingles, a metal-over installation can save tear-off cost. We inspect for free and tell you if your roof qualifies.
