Our Commitment

Pantoja's Construction Inc. wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website. We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we review and improve the site over time.

What We've Done

This site includes: a visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element, with a two-tone ring on buttons so it shows on light and dark backgrounds; a label on every form field; a skip-to-content link; one main heading per page; descriptive text for photos, with purely decorative images marked so screen readers skip them; an accessible name on every icon-only control; a mobile menu that keeps keyboard focus inside it, closes with Escape, and returns focus to the menu button; FAQ sections that open and close with the keyboard; support for the reduced-motion setting, which turns off all animation; form fields with borders and placeholder text that meet contrast targets; and the English reviews on the Spanish site marked so screen readers pronounce them correctly.

Known Limitations

• Some light-colored text sits on top of photo backgrounds, such as page titles and the fine-print offer disclaimer on our promotions page. We have not measured contrast at every point of every photo, so it may vary by device.
• On buttons that sit over a photo, the keyboard focus ring can measure under the 3:1 target on the lighter parts of the photo.
• Our contact page includes a Google map, and our forms include Google reCAPTCHA. Both are built and controlled by Google, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility.
• Photos in the project gallery carry general, numbered descriptive text (for example, "roofing project 12") rather than a unique description per photo.
• The yellow stars on our review cards use the same yellow Google uses. On white they measure about 1.7:1, under the 3:1 target for icons. Each rating is also written out in words for screen readers, and every review is linked to Google, where you can read it with Google's own display.
• The outlined white buttons on our blue bands have a border that measures about 2.9:1 against the blue, just under the 3:1 target. The button text itself passes.
• We have not yet tested this site with real users of screen readers or other assistive technology. Our review has been done by checking code, keyboard navigation, and color contrast in a browser.
